Upcoming Art of the Short Date Change by Robert Wagner

Hi all,

We hope you’re enjoying the Holiday season. In lieu of a recent surge in Covid cases we’ve decided to reschedule the upcoming Art of the Short event. The January 6th event has been rescheduled for Thursday, January 20, 2022.

We hope this slight rescheduling in the date finds us at a more opportune time to safely host an in-person event. As nothing beats meeting the filmmakers in real-life. At this time, we see no reason to postpone further, and again, we hope cases begin to decline in short order.

If you submitted a film for the January event, we will still send out notices very shortly about the lineup and will post the full lineup by the end of this coming week, Dec. 23.

The event is still occurring at our beautiful, East Village, home base, Wild Project. Have a Safe and Wonderful remainder of the year!

All the best,

NYNL

2021 Film Summit Announcement by Robert Wagner

Our goal each year is to hold at least three Art of the Short FIlm events prior to the year-end film Summit. Our timeline for this year has been thrust ahead more quickly this year. Due to some extenuating circumstances, primarily the events of Covid-19, we are producing the 2021 Summit presented by Wild Project, October 1 - 3, 2021. The dates are Friday to Sunday. Initially we had planned to produce another Art of the Short but things remain fluid with regards to flexibility.

This generally means that things are continuing to open up in NYC, not the opposite, which we are glad that is the case, and we hope it continues. Additionally, we plan to hold 100% in person capacity for the event, but public health guidelines will be implemented for live audiences. Our plan is to also present the Summit virtually via our digital platform.

Once again the Summit will occur October 1 - October 3, 2021 at Wild Project, 195 E. 3rd St. NYC. We hope to see you soon.
